Q: How does this Chinese drywall test kit work?
A: This test kit is a chemical analysis of the air in contact with the
drywall in your home. The small probes test the concentration of
gaseous sulfur compounds in the air sealed in your walls. If the probes
test positive, it is highly likely that your home contains Chinese drywall.
Q: How many tests can I run with this kit?
A: This test kit contains 20 analysis probes, meaning you can test up to
20 walls or 20 rooms at one time, but since the probes are reusable,
you can run as many tests as you need. You could even go in with a
friend and share the kit.
Q: What gases does the kit test for?
A: Our test kit is designed to test positive for Chinese drywall when in the presence of gases commonly produced from toxic Chinese drywall. These gases include Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S),
Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), Carbonyl Sulfide (OCS), Carbon Disulfide (CS2),
Dimethyl Disulfide (DMDS), and Iron Disulfide (FeS2).
Q: I am elderley / live by myself / not good with tools / etc. Can I still
use the kit?
A: Certainly. This test kit was designed to be so simple that anyone
could use it. You don't need any extra tools or supplies. Everything you
need is right inside the kit. The instructions come with color pictures to
help you and walk you through the process step-by-step. This really is
the easiest and least expensive way to determine if your home has toxic
Chinese drywall.
Q: Can I buy this kit in stores?
A: We are working on it, but for the time being this kit is only available
on our website.
Q: How quickly can I get my kit?
A: We offer free shipping via United States Postal Service First Class
mail. Most addresses in the Southeastern United States should receive
their kits in 3-5 business days.
